The Mission

The 4-A Healing Foundation’s mission is clearly defined with the following prioritized four goals:

  • To provide financial assistance to families in need who have children diagnosed with a 4-A Disorder to pursue biomedical evaluation and treatment
  • To develop a physician network that will treat children using the 4-A Healing Program
  • To create a state-of-the-art research institute for prevention and biomedical treatment of the 4-A Disorders
  • To raise global awareness of, and provide research support for, biomedical treatment for the 4-A Disorders

Financial Assistance

The 4-A Healing Foundation’s focus is to alleviate the financial burden of biomedical treatment so that children diagnosed with a 4-A Disorder can begin the journey of healing and recovery.  Too often, a child is diagnosed with a 4-A Disorder and the family is unable to afford the appropriate biomedical treatments, forcing parents to make the difficult decision between providing these treatments to their child supporting their family’s many other needs.

The grant process is defined by a financial model that is primarily based upon a family’s disposable income and number of people in the household.  The grant process is initially reviewed by the Executive Director, who then presents the applications to the Board of Directors for their approval.

4-A Healing Physician Network

The 4-A Healing Foundation will train and monitor qualified physicians across the U.S. to treat children using the 4-A Healing Program.  Physicians will be carefully selected, based upon their credentials and experience, and will be reviewed by the Board of Directors on an annual basis.

Biomedical Research Institute

In the future, it is anticipated that the 4-A Healing Foundation will be involved in funding research to further identify causes and effective treatments for the 4-A Disorders.  This vision also includes the eventual creation of a premier research institute for 4-A Disorders, which would help bring clarity and cohesiveness to the biomedical treatment field.

The anticipated goals of the 4-A Research Institute will include:

  • Improved and increased patient-focused treatment
  • Documentation of clinical benefits to promote educational efforts and support enhanced insurance coverage

Increased Biomedical Awareness

Raising biomedical awareness is imperative for the ultimate prevention of 4-A Disorders.  Many families with children diagnosed with a 4-A Disorder have never heard of this method of treatment and may be unaware that medical treatment is even possible.  While “word of mouth” may currently be the prevalent method of spreading knowledge of this treatment approach, a consistent, focused educational awareness effort is imperative for achieving the greatest long-term impact on the 4-A Disorders.

Communicating the benefits of this highly effective treatment program must be improved.  The Foundation anticipates raising awareness using TV appearances, radio, newsletters, books, and national campaigns.
